Marie-Pierre’s practice takes the form of field work sited in Herefordshire, UK, and its communities living along the river Wye. It asks questions and proposes solutions about the earth’s new geological epoch, controversially called the Anthropocene. Her work is open-ended and aims to give humans and interrelated species a voice. Recent enquiries about changes along the river Wye have generated outcomes from verbatim materials and a broad spectrum of media including a book, video and objects. Her work is modular. This enables different versions to be expanded in exhibitions, bringing into play ecology, games and law. If you lose the ability to play can you understand the world and imagine new forms of critical interventions?
